I know many of my fellow SLPs are still in school in June (or work with students year-round). I've come to enjoy summer therapy, as it's a little more flexible. I've gathered my favorite themed speech therapy plans for June and want to share them with you to help you get in some much-deserved relaxation. Once you've finished reading this post, be sure to enter your name and email to grab a copy of these June-themed speech therapy lesson plans! The weekly calendar format allows you to add some of your own ideas and notes to each week.

Week 1: Western
BOOKS: Armadillo Rodeo, Cowgirl Kate and Coco
ARTICULATION: Western Match & Say
LANGUAGE: Western Match & Say This NO PREP activity comes in two formats- printable and digital Google Slides! It's perfect for distance learning and teletherapy sessions.
Week 2: Travel/Vacations
BOOKS: The Relatives Came, Down to the Sea with Mr. Magee One of my favorite books for narratives is The Relatives Came. It provides an excellent opportunity to discuss travel and past family vacations (or ones that you and your students have planned during the summer!) If you're looking for an engaging summer-themed book, Down to the Sea with Mr. Magee will not disappoint!
ARTICULATION: Summer Match and Say
LANGUAGE: Summer Writing Prompts, Summer Match and Say Kids get so into the Summer Writing Prompt's creative, imaginative topics that they ASK to write each day! #SLPWin The kids are so busy having fun that they don't realize that we're working how many language goals I'm targeting (sequencing, predicting grammar, language conventions, narratives, and more!) Students take their journals home to continue daily writing practice, bringing it to therapy each week for us to read over and discuss their progress.
Week 3: Flag Day, Father's Day, Summer/Beach
BOOKS: The Sand Castle Contest, Harry By the Sea, America: A Patriotic Primer, Whoosh!, Fire Flies Nothing beats a week at the (speech) beach! You can create a fun sensory bin by picking up sand from Michael's, Hobby Lobby, or Home Depot. The Sand Castle Contest and Harry by the Sea will help you set the tone for your beach-themed week.
ARTICULATION: Dice and Dot- Summer, Summer Quick-Play, 100 Articulation Trials (summer page)
LANGUAGE: Dice and Dot- Summer, Father’s Day Lap Book and Banner
Week 4: Ocean
BOOKS: A House for Hermit Crab, The Pout-Pout Fish in the Big-Big Dark, The Fisherman and the Whale
ARTICULATION: Clownfish Popper Companion

I love these and I bought the template as well. I feel like this is going to help me so much next school year. I like looking at yours for examples too. What age groups do you primarily work with? I work with kinder-6th grade.
I hope you love this! I work primarily with elementary ages!
