Let’s start this year off right using literacy-based speech strategies in our therapy sessions! I have made this simple to use with your students in K thru 5th grade with my back-to-school speech and language therapy books.
My book companions are book-centered and filled with:
- lesson plans
- activities
- speech sound word lists
- sticky notes- for quick references
- digital copies using Google Slides
I love using speech and language therapy books that incorporate the social and emotional connection with students in the beginning of the the school year. In addition to the social/emotional connection, I choose books that are rich with vocabulary, text features, figurative language, and so much more. I hope you enjoy the ease and thoroughness of these back-to-school book companions and that you find them to be enriching to your therapy sessions!
