Christmas books for speech therapy

Christmas books for Speech Therapy

Merry Christmas everyone!! You know how much I love using children’s books for building vocabulary and language skills in my speech room, right? Here are 8 of my favorite Christmas books to use in Speech Therapy. Why is using literature SO important in our therapy sessions? The research shows it. I can point you to many research articles but specifically THIS ONE about how it improves literal and inferential language skills and THIS ONE that explains how dialogic reading improves expressive and receptive language.  *this post contains Amazon affiliate links.

Hi! Do you have any of these bookmarks for any "neutral" books? Unfortunately my school asks us to refrain from using holiday themed materials (even Halloween!) 🙁

These are such a great idea though, I'd love to use them in my sessions!
