This or That: Using How to Catch an Elf and Mooseltoe in Speech Therapy – Episode 30
During the holiday seasons, it’s natural and a fun way to engage students by incorporating holiday-themed books in your speech therapy sessions. But just because they’re engaging and a cute story, doesn’t necessarily mean they’d make a good fit in your therapy sessions. So to help you out, we’re discussing our process for selecting books with two Christmas-themed books. In our this or that Christmas edition, we’re comparing How to Catch an Elf and Mooseltoe.
When selecting books to use in speech therapy, we also encourage you to pick books that are complete episodes and touch on a variety of key concepts. To give you a better idea of each book, we give a brief summary and what concepts each book highlights. And while we believe both books are fun and interesting for the kids, we do believe one is better for practicing student goals in your speech therapy session. So be sure to check out our this or that Christmas edition to find out which book gives you more content this holiday season!
