Our Favorite Wordless Picture Books in Speech Therapy: Part One – Episode 36
In last week’s episode, we discussed wordless picture books and the many benefits of using them in your speech therapy sessions. Despite not having any text on the pages, they still provide value towards your students’ speech and language goals. But like with most genres, there are so many books that it can be difficult finding the right match for your students that provide the most value. So in today’s episode, we’re sharing part one of our favorite wordless picture books to use during speech therapy.
With each of our favorite wordless picture books, we provide a brief summary and discuss how the illustrations affect the story and your interpretation of it. Like we have mentioned before, there are still key concepts that can be taught from these wordless picture books that align to your students’ goals. Additionally, we provide age recommendations and examples of how we’d use these books with our students. Stay tuned to next week’s episode where we share even more of our favorite wordless picture books with you!
