The Literacy-Based Speech Podcast Anniversary: Ask Us Anything! – Episode 55

We’re always excited about doing podcast episodes, but this particular one makes us so excited, and our smiles are a mile wide because it’s our one-year podcast anniversary! We have learned so much over the past year and have enjoyed sharing our favorite books with y’all and hopefully have provided you with fresh ideas to use during your speech therapy sessions. Since it’s our podcast anniversary, we wanted to celebrate by getting our listeners and community involved. So, in today’s episode, we’re answering all of your literacy-based speech questions to further help you during your speech therapy sessions.
Over the past year, we’ve covered a variety of topics related to incorporating a literacy-based approach during your speech therapy sessions, but we haven’t covered everything. What we loved about these questions was the depth in which y’all want to dive into the topics we have covered while also addressing some topics we haven’t mentioned before. Some of the literacy-based speech questions range from strategies involving high school students, progress monitoring, and the process for introducing vocabulary and background knowledge to book series recommendations and more. We hope you enjoy this celebration episode, and we look forward to discussing literacy-based speech therapy topics for years to come!
